Protect your balance from accidental overdrafts.
With our busy lives, it's easy to make mistakes such as forgetting to deposit a check, make a transfer, or deduct that last debit charge from our balance. A simple error or balance miscalculation can lead to an unexpected shortage of funds.
Cooperative Center may have the solution you're looking for with our overdraft protection options.
Overdraft Line of Credit
Applying for a line of credit is another option. It includes a limit of up to $600 and 12 months to repay. Interest rate is 9.77%.
Personal Line of Credit
A traditional line of credit may be a good option for members with non-traditional income streams. The line is up to $25,000 and the interest rate is 9.27%. There is an application process and the line is based on approved credit.
Overdraft Privilege Pay
Overdraft Privilege is not a line of credit. However, if you inadvertently overdraw your account, we will have the discretion to pay the overdraft, subject to your Overdraft Privilege.
Cooperative Center will not pay overdrafts for ATM or everyday debit card transactions unless you have given your consent by opting in to the payment of these overdrafts.*

Also, you might find value in this online course on preventing overdraft fees.
*Accounts will be charged the standard Overdraft fee of $28 for handling each overdraft created by check, ACH, Point-of-Sale, ATM withdrawal, in-person withdrawal, or other electronic item that is paid and $28 for items returned. An overdrawn balance must be repaid within 32 days. We may not pay items under your Overdraft Privilege if you do not maintain your account in good standing by bringing your account to a positive balance within every thirty-two (32) day period for a minimum of 24 hours, if you default on any loan or other obligation to Cooperative Center FCU or if your account is subject to any legal or administrative order or levy.
