 Phishing Scams More Prevalent

Phishing is the act of tricking someone into giving them confidential information or tricking them into doing something that they normally wouldn't do or shouldn't do. For example: sending an e-mail to a user falsely claiming to be an established legitimate enterprise in an attempt to scam the user into surrendering private information that will be used for identity theft.

To counteract this growing problem, please be aware that Cooperative Center Federal Credit Union will no longer include e-mail links in our electronic correspondence (e-mail). For convenience, please be sure to bookmark our home banking website in your Favorites Menu.

What You Can Do

To protect yourself against phishing scams, never reveal private or account information online by responding through a link in an e-mail.
